  • Job Opportunities for Rutgers Students: Full time enrolled Rutgers students may find job opportunities at DoCS through Handshake. Those in the Federal Work-Study Program must apply via the Office of Financial Aid for placement within our departments.
  • Internship Opportunities: Students seeking internship opportunities at the DoCS should contact the Dean of their respective schools to explore available positions.  
  • Volunteer Opportunities: Our volunteer opportunities are primarily coordinated through specific departments, we invite interested individuals reach out DoCS units for potential placement.

  • New Jersey First Act/Residency Requirement: Rutgers University complies with the New Jersey First Act which requires individuals to be residents of New Jersey in order to hold certain public employee positions in the state. 
  • Rutgers Flexible Work Arrangement: Per Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, Employees performing job responsibilities at an alternate work location must be in NJ, NY, PA, or DE and be within a commutable distance to campus.
